All About Lake Windsor, AR

Lake Windsor is one of seven lakes in the Bella Vista Village in Northwest Arkansas. The Bella Vista lakes are private lakes and only members and their guests may enjoy them. Lake Ann, Lake Windsor, and Lake Loch Lomond are the largest recreational lakes in the community. Lake Avalon, Lake Norwood, Lake Brittany, and Lake Rayburn are primarily fishing lakes with no-wake restrictions.

Lake Windsor is the second largest of the lakes (Loch Lomond being the largest), covering 220 acres with a maximum depth of 80 feet. Lake Windsor is an unlimited power lake so those wishing to fly across the surface of the lake can feel free. Water skiing and tubing are also encouraged.

Lake Windsor sits against a backdrop of the Ozark Mountains, offering visitors some spectacular views. Hardwood forests throughout the Bella Vista community create privacy for homeowners as well as shelter for wild deer, turkey, and other native wildlife. Completed in 1975, Lake Windsor provides members a spectacular place to recreate, including water skiing, swimming, and fishing.

Boat launches are located at the end of the two main arms of the lake and along the lake’s dam. Fish in the lake include largemouth bass, bluegill, red-ear sunfish, crappie and catfish. Lake Windsor is one of two village lakes that host fishing tournaments. Other lake amenities include a covered pavilion, restrooms, and courtesy docks.

The village of Bella Vista Property Owners Association affords its members and guests numerous recreational opportunities. Fitness/recreation centers, outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, an RV park, racquetball courts, golf courses, miniature golf courses, playgrounds, parks and pavilions, a yacht club and full service marina, walking trails, basketball courts and pickleball courts can all be found within the village. Visitors and residents of Lake Windsor are allowed to use any of the facilities within the village.
