The winter months provide spectacular scenery, and snowshoeing trails just waiting to be explored. After a day in the snow, enjoy a quiet night snuggled around a fire with a book.

Wakondah Pond is nestled between two of New Hampshire's well-known lakes, Squam Lake to the west and Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake in New Hampshire, to the southeast. So, when you desire a change of pace from the tranquility of Wakondah Pond for adrenaline-pumping activities, these three nearby lakes provide plenty of opportunity for motor boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, and jet skiing.

Other activities for your personal entertainment in the Wakondah Pond area include cruises, garden shows, wildlife adventures, and music theatres. Take a trip into the town of Meredith and dine on some local cuisine, or shop till you drop in the village. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, then White Mountain National Forest is not far away. With 800,000 acres it is easily the largest national forest in New Hampshire. There are plenty of groomed trails for hiking, biking, and viewing wildlife. Plan your trip during the winter months and enjoy endless trails for snowmobiling and cross country skiing.
